Russell Drake Award – AMI 2011
David Killpack of Illumination Studios was honored to receive the Russell Drake Award of Excellence in Instructional Line from the Association of Medical Illustrators at this year’s annual meeting. The winning piece was created to illustrate appropriate joint injection procedures for Biopharma Products.

Ralph Sweet Award – AMI 2009
David Killpack of Illumination Studios receives the Ralph Sweet Award, chosen by the membership of the Association of Medical Illustrators as the Best in Show, for his illustration “Equine Cranial Anatomy – 3D Relationships”.
Will Sheppard Award – AMI 2007
This year, David Killpack of Illumination Studios was honored to receive the Will Sheppard Award of Excellence for Instructional Color. The piece, Common Disorders of the Canine Ear, was created primarily in our 3D style with a placement images in our Digital Wash style.
Ralph Sweet Award – AMI 2006
Each year the members of the Association of Medical Illustrators vote on the best piece of artwork in the show. This year, the award was given to a natural history illustration entitled Cloacal Respiration in an Australian Chelid Turtle by Illumination Studios Creative Director, David Killpack.
